AZ - Driver/Delivery - Elmira, ON

Location: Elmira, ON
Type of Employment: Seasonal (approx. 7 months)

Reports to: Central Trucking Manager

Essential Duties:

  • Pick-up and delivery of agricultural, landscaping and construction equipment primarily throughout
  • Premier Equipment’s territories.
  • Perform periodic parts deliveries throughout the Premier stores
  • Periodic collection and handling of Parts, Service and Rentals invoices, contracts and payments directly with customers.
  • Light maintenance duties of equipment
  • Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of delivery truck and trailer
  • Other associated tasks as required.
  • Towing of large agricultural pieces that are too wide to load on a truck bed.
  • Operation of a highway truck and various trailers including detachable and tilt deck trailers, operation of recovery winch on trailer
  • Hours can vary depending on season but overtime will be required during peak seasons and as requested, as well as working a Saturday work rotation schedule

Skills and Requirements:

  • Require Class AZ license
  • Require Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Must have the ability to work independently.
  • Must have working/operational experience with forklifts, lawn and garden equipment, large and small agricultural pieces, construction pieces and large towable pieces.
  • Ability to manage all associated paperwork and process for pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Prior experience with haulage of equipment is an asset
  • Prior knowledge of MTO rules and regulations is an asset
