Purpose:
The Central Trucking Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the dispatch of drivers and managing logistics for Premier Equipment's internal trucking requirements. This role involves overseeing the scheduling of both full-time and part-time drivers, coordinating outside trucking companies, and ensuring timely and efficient transportation services. The Central Trucking Dispatcher must exhibit strong organizational and communication skills and have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


Essential Duties:
• Review and schedule all requests for internal company trucking.
• Dispatch drivers for all locations.
• Coordinate and support driver on a daily basis.
• Coordinate with outside trucking companies as needed to manage all trucking requirements, ensuring all logistics operations flow through Central Trucking.
• Prepare and manage trucking quotes as necessary.
• Assist in the recruiting and hiring of drivers
• Manage a pool of part-time drivers.
• Participate in the promotion and monitoring of safety regulations in compliance with required guidelines.


Skills and Requirements:
• Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or fleet management.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using dispatch and fleet management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of farm, construction and lawn/garden equipment would be asset.
• Experience in coordinating oversized load and large AG equipment transportation is preferred.
• Knowledge of the geographical areas served (Southern, Central and Eastern Ontario regions) if preferred.
