Integrated Solutions Manager - Elmira, ON

Purpose

Lead integrated solutions development and implementation for the entire organization including the execution of the John Deere Precision Ag strategy. Work closely with internal and external resources to identify customer and market needs in order to develop comprehensive services and solutions to address those needs.

Responsibilities

Develops the strategic direction, execution, and delivery of Integrated Solutions for the organization in conjunction with the General Manager of Sales and Division Managers.

Provides leadership across the organization for Precision Ag products and services.

Partners with service, parts, and sales management in the development and execution of services and solutions, to identify and address customer needs.

Leads the Integrated Solutions Team and provides strategic direction, creates tactics and sets goals/objectives to be executed by the Team.

Determines and leads the organizations development of data enabled strategies that drive insight for both Premier and customers. Identifies and facilitates relationships with third party providers (Certified Crop Advisors, Ag Service Providers etc.) with respect to data management.

Sets goals and identifies precision farming products for mainstreaming throughout the dealership.

Manages the adoption of new technology and product offerings.

Identifies the scope, direction, and business model for offering consulting services.

Develops and contributes integrated solutions elements of the dealership strategy, marketing, and training plans for both employees and customers.

Ensures that stocking/inventory requirements for solutions enablement is met and acts as a liaison with inventory managers as needed. Helps create action plans on aged new and used equipment.

May provide solutions-based business consulting services to customers (i.e. advising customers on optimizing performance, reducing costs, operation efficiencies, etc.).

Performs customer visits upon request from the Sales Team.

Performs regular store visits every 4-6 weeks and attends sales meetings at the request of Sales Managers.

Participates in Sales Management Team and Sales Leadership Team meetings and leads all discussions around Integrated Solutions.

Performs monthly Performance Management meeting with all direct reports.

Is the main contact for John Deere regarding all areas surrounding Integrated Solutions. Maintains a positive working relationship with the John Deere Field Team.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge

5+ years of experience in an agriculture related role, which includes sales and management experience.

Ability to operate with a solutions approach, think strategically and identify emerging customer needs/trends.

Demonstrates leadership, organizational, management, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.

Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store and customer locations.

Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.

Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Sales Department operations.

Ability to analyze and interpret internal and external reports.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
