Type of Employment: Full-Time
Work with the store management team to develop and follow an annual service budget and plan to provide realistic, attainable and measurable service profit goals and operational objectives.
Participate in the development and execution of the Service marketing plan.
Resolve customer complaints relative to service with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
Recruit, train, appraise and provide direction to service personnel to support service sales growth and customer service requirements.
Control and maintain proper paper flow in the Service Department to reflect all service activity necessary to audit and assess the performance of the department and individual employees on a monthly basis.
Assist in the appraisal of repair work coming into the Service Department.
Provide a leadership role within the service department while working alongside shop and field technicians to achieve departmental goals and tech efficiency.
Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to the employees according to their skills and knowledge.
Ensure that the service department is equipped with the necessary tools and service equipment and that they are maintained in good working order.
Skills and Requirements:
Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively direct and promote teamwork, cooperation and customer satisfaction.
A natural mechanical proficiency along with knowledge of diagnostic equipment and specialized tools is required.
Must be thoroughly familiar with John Deere and competitor’s products.
Must demonstrate the skill and knowledge required to direct repair work.
